The challenge

The client challenge to elevate JLL female professionals within the industry and demonstrate the progressiveness of the business through our own female success stories. We had a short timeframe to execute something meaningful on International Women’s Day 2020.

 

The solution

When ideating for International Women’s Day (IWD) 2020, we knew the standard approach of posting generic communications of our female leaders on social media—wouldn’t cut it. We wanted to tell the individual stories of all our female professionals from leadership to intern—to celebrate individuality. 

We started by crafting a series of questions for the female professionals at JLL to find out who inspires them and what it’s like to be a female in a male dominated industry. They shared with us their responses and photographs so we could start to build out a campaign headlined “JLL Women Inspire”.

 
 

The roll out was both internal and external. We created signage for the offices, presentations for local teams and various internal communication tools so the message could be told seamlessly across the global business. Externally we focused on social media across LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram. JLL employees were provided with a ‘social media pack’ were they could post predesigned content to share their message and also had templates developed should they wish to create further posts.

We ultimately created over 400 assets for approximately 65 employees and using the templates many more created their own. The campaign was received superbly from all levels of JLL staff with female leadership being particularly keen to share their inspiration.
