The challenge

The challenge was to bring a brand and online presence to life to engage a new audience of readers and advocates for an amazing cause—a safe space for women who feel grossly under-represented in mainstream media.

The solution

To start the project, we held a brand workshop with the Relatable founders to better understand their vision and business goals. We researched the space that they were about to enter from brands and websites they liked, to competitors, and influencers they followed and respected for the work they do. Once we had a unified focus, we developed two brand concepts for Relatable. Logo, colour palette, typography and application across key touchpoints were explored.

Following the development of the Relatable brand identity, we proceeded with developing their new website on WordPress. A key objective of the site was that the Relatable team should be able to independently publish new content daily with confidence. To this end, they needed a site they could self-maintain and manage moving forward. We achieved this through a couple of in-house training sessions, as well as a period of offboarding where the team could lean on us for support.
